Probably one of the very first things I noticed when I joined here is that the version of phpbb that the forum is using is rather outdated. I'm not sure what version precisely it is, but Id say 2.8ish. Now, in and of itself, it isn't that bad a thing. The core functionality isn't too terribly changed, but there are a few functions that have been added: splitting topics, etc.

Its not a make-or-break, but I notice some topics here in the meta forum about things kind of stagnating, and bringing things up to date might dust some of the cobwebs out.

If you're not terribly familiar with phpbb, I've been using it since it came out, really, so I can probably help if there's anything that is problematic about it, though the newest version is pretty easy to use as far as upgrades/etc goes.
