I realize im an old and out of date mudder. I literally have been away for a long time, and am now back in the thick of things, and I realize I dont know what is hip in terms of mud stuff. If anything though, I am adaptable, or at least like to think I am.

I had a blind mudder logon tonight, and and after a hasty reboot to add in a new prompt so she could function to to speak, it dawned on me that maybe I should look this stuff up. granted there is a discussion on top mud sites that is 4 years old, but that is not here, though it is now.

so what is new and hip to blind support for muds in this day and age. I liked the idea of breaking up score components for easy information retrieval, and I realize i have much work ahead of me for making data output for this new prompt easier on the mumbo and better on the jumbo.

what else is there. and which mud extensions make supporting blind mudders optionally better?

There was a discussion about accessibility features on the Design forum some years ago, and I recently updated it with some more things I've found effective.

I don't know of any mud extensions designed specifically for blind players, but MSP seems to be a popular addition - as long as it doesn't interfere with their screen reader.
